Some Hard Statistics About The State of OUR Fellow Veterans

Veterans are having difficulty obtaining and paying for proper medical care

According to the article,"Financial Burden of Medical Care Among Veterans Aged 25–64, by Health Insurance Coverage: United States, 2019–2021." 12.8% of veterans aged 25–64 had problems paying medical bills, 8.4% had forgone medical care, and 38.4% were somewhat or very worried about being able to pay their medical bills if they got sick or had an accident.

Homeless Veterans increased 7.4% to 35,574 in January 2023.

According the the VA.GOV website, homeless veteran numbers increased 7.4% from January 2022 to January 2023. There are many reasons for this homelessness, but it cannot be understated that our fellow veterans need the benefits they have earned now more than ever.

Average VA rating in 2020 was 56% and only 25% of veterans had any rating at all.

According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report from December 2023 titled,"Income of Working-Age Veterans Receiving Disability Compensation." This is a significant increase from 2000 when only 9% of veterans had any rating at all.
